Default oil coming out of oil cap and dipstick

whats up all. just bought me anouther 86 svo, guy has a boost controller on it, runs pretty good but just seems to me at wot it feels kinda dull, feels stronger without wot almost.was running about 18psi i turned it down to 15 now. noticed that the oil dipstick was zipp tied down but now i see why because it had been blowing oil out of it also out of the oil cap, anyone know why?. the car smokes a little just wondering if i bot burt? it has a 65mm throttle bodie conversion and some kind of line running from the pcv in the back of the valve cover to a filter of sorts(like you would find on a air compressor) with a little oil in it then to the turbo, what is this and can it be removed. any help would be appreciated thanks

Truegrawl. Sounds like the engine has some bypass. Could do a compression test and a leakdown test to be sure. Also check the pcv valve and see if it is a motorcraft part. The autoparts one will not work on a turbo engine. The air filter is a fairly common way of cutting down on oil blow by in the turbo engine. On the dipstick same deal blowby blowing it out without the cable tie. On my old motor I took a sparkplug boot and put dipstick thru it and onto tube to make it stay and not leak. You near Campbellsville Ky. If so be glad to lend you a hand. Built mine from j-yard pieces. Good luck Maurice

Yes Can take that filter system off. We got to met will PM you with contact info. Mine is currently down. Front seal of the 2-3 year old rebuilt c-4 is leak. I got some choice words for Adv---- Auto Part rebuilders. I have had 4 of their rebuilt alternators on same car. Last one pulley cam off and tore up my hoodliner. But enough of my ranting. Maurice
Edit video under my hood may help.

Try replacing the stock PCV (near distributor) with a Motorcraft version.
