I replaced the valve cover gasket on my 84 svo with a rubber gasket and its leaking around the front of the timing cover.any advice on which one works best to end the leaks?metal core rubber gasket? dont want to keep doing the valve cover gasket.twice is good,LOL thaks chad

I have always used the factory gasket along with a bead of silicone. Silicone helps seal everything up, and peals of fairly easily if you need to change something up later.

I agree with the above and the silicone is a must. be carefull with lining it up as the back corner on the passenger side is where they usually leak.
