Well I just blew out my IRS, there is a large hole in the differential cover. I assume its the pinion ring but not sure yet. The IRS actually dropped down on the exhaust too. Really sucks...............What do you guys think I should do? solid???? If solid is the way what year should I get the rearend from?
ouch. you didnt have an IRS brace on that? I'd say see what is damaged and if your IRS is wourth salvaging and building up (though I like having the smooth ride of an IRS equiped car).
i am going to go solid at some point, mone of my buddies has a solid and i don'tnotice much differnece in the ride. i would just buy a new ford 9in or you can try and build an 8.8 from a gt, i think the mach one is the best alternative for an 8.8 though because it can accomodate the size of the cobra brakes. not 100% on that though.
yeah, but remember, that hefty price is going to get u a hefty rear end.... u get what u pay for, and as far as im concerned, performance solutions is top of the line.
