Hi,

Im moving over to Dallas from Ireland and I need lots + lots of advice.

Basicially, My wife is allowing me to buy a Mustang as soon as we arive,
but which should I buy?

Mustangs were never available in Europe, so I imported a 1987 GT t-top a few years ago which has served me well.

However, now that I'm "emigrating to the states" I want to get the best all-round Mustang that I can.

I would like to get the 1999-2004 shaped model,but something more than a GT.

So, which is better................SVT Cobra or a Saleen or a Roush ect?

Whats the benefit of a Saleen over lets say a SVT Cobra?

I test drove a 2004 SVT Cobra Convertible last year, is their any Mustangs that can top that or do you have to be a millionaire to have a Saleen,Rouch ect?

An 03 or 04 Cobra SVT can be all you should need. They respond very well to bolt ons and its easy to get them over 500 RWHP without investing a fortune. If you want they can be modded to 700 or 800 plus RWHP with a few more changes. welcome another Irishman to the USA, love the Guiness!!!

I think the best bang for your buck is the 03-04 Cobra

Go with the 03/04 Cobra. You can get a low-mileage one for less than 26k.

from what i understand a saleen handles better than a svt as for roush i dont know much

for the $$, go with the cobra. the saleens & rouschs (s281e & stage 3, respectively) are better cars, but not much faster. and they cost boku $$. go for the cobra, and welcome to america! sorry this is in all lower case, but i'm holding my son, typing one handed. he says welcome too!!

ps. i plan on putting the saleen front end on my cobra; i think they look sweet.

03 04 cobra is the way to go i want one so bad i can taste it, i have a 94 cobra and a 87 gt, to finish off the stable i want a 93 cobra, and a 07 and then i would be a happy camper, but we can all dream cant we lol
