For me, over 700rwhp is plenty streetable... ITS CALLED THROTTLE CONTROL AND DRIVING RESPONSIBLY!!!
Ok awesome. One more question does the Whipple put a huge strain on the Cobra motor? I know the cobra motor is good for 800+ RWHP but does the whipple add strain to the motor?

The higher the hp, the more the strain. Pretty simple, lol... But as long as you do the necessary cooling mods (head cooling mod, h/e, etc), and a good tune, the longevity of your engine should not be hampered that drastically. The worst thing you can do is hot lap the crap out of your car, and/or do TOP SPEED runs, which is extremely strenuous to your engine.

If you're just driving it normally . You will not notice any issues whether it's a 2.3 , 2.8, or
a 3.4 . The difference happens when you put your foot into it . Until then, you'd never know the difference .

not all cobras are made equally, not every cobra motor is going to hold that kind of power, there is a risk with any high horsepower car, your reliability is almost guaranteed to be less then what it is now, how ever proper maintenance and responsible driving do improve this, but ive seen some cobras barley make it passed 650 rwhp and as said some go well over that.

How much does this supercharger affect drivability vs. a 2.6L Kenne Bell??? What are the MPG differences. Not like gas bothers me just wondering. Im asking because im thinking on starting a new project maybe say 03-04 cobra FTW!
From my personal experience there should be no affect on drive ability between a 2.3L, 2.6L, 2.8L or 3.4L. This is my personal experience from cars I have either owned or driven. Whether it's an eaton, 2.2L KB, or 3.4L Whipple they all drove the same as far as around town or highway driving. You're not going to notice a difference until you throttle the car enough to where the blower makes it's power. A twin screw supercharger typically doesn't make big power until a certain throttle amount is reached.
Now as far as what your goals are I think that's the most important part of choosing the blower that's right for you. If you're looking to make 600rwhp then a 2.3L Whipple will be the ticket. I would choose the 2.3L as well if you don't plan on spinning the blower to make anything more than 21psi.
If you're looking to make more than that I would step up to the 3.4L. At the 600rwhp/20psi level you're just starting to get out of the efficiency range of the 2.3L and just entering the lower end of the 3.4L's efficiency range. So 20+psi 3.4L and less than that 2.3L.
Please feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions. I believe there's no other company besides Whipple themselves that has more experience with their superchargers than us. We're not only their largest US distributor but we also distribute their kits to some of the most well known performance shops across the country. The feedback we get from our customers and hands on experience we have running their blowers on our own cars gives us the ability to help you choose what's right for you.
You see this is what my car runs now... i want 10's or even high 9's. I know about porting the eaton by steigmeier or what ever they are called, just want more. I love turbo's but it will cost well over 10K and i can do alot of things with 10K. Like building the IRS and putting 700+ RWHP with a supercharger to the ground. I just want to now the difference in drivabillity between the two superchargers... Does anyone know? My goal is 600-700 RWHP, thats my target. Thanks!
their are guys running a CAI, full exhaust, pully, tune, and tires running low 11's. With a stage V port your looking at over 500-550 rwhp! with that power the CAR is capable of running 10's which plenty of people have done you just need seat time. though a 75 shot of nos and bam mid tens for less than 2K. go to svtsnake.com and steigmeir (sp) has a cobra with a stage V port on race gas putting down 600rwhp.
terminators are no joke! their the "lil engine that can"

You see i dont really mind paying extra cash to get an efficient supercharger vs. the Heaton. And the reason why i want a cobra is to get away from the nitrous route. I have it now and i want to go with out it. I just becomes to much of a hassle and i just want to floor it when ever i want and boom instant power. I love nitrous but fill up stations are close to 40 minutes away from my house, thats my problem. I also dont want to get 10.99 i want more like 10.00 lol. 9's even. What cooling parts would i need to run 21 psi with the 3.4L Whipple?

Head cooling mod (which I have), Heat Exchanger, maybe a bigger radiator.
