Default 3.4L Whipple

How much does this supercharger affect drivability vs. a 2.6L Kenne Bell??? What are the MPG differences. Not like gas bothers me just wondering. Im asking because im thinking on starting a new project maybe say 03-04 cobra FTW!

Well think deeply into that project ask some people that know a lot about those large chargers. As for gas mileage, there shouldn't be a mpg difference unless your under boost, then its a whole nother ballpark. the 3.4 L whipple is a beast and likes to spin fast and does not put down great numbers until it does. That supercharger isn't really designed for the all stock car, i mean sure you can put it on your stock cobra but you will get better use out of a 2.3 with a stock car until you get a stroker heads cams for the 3.4 whipple. Im not a KB guy costumer service sucks. And they blow seals....

I'd just stick with the stock Eaton and maybe have it ported! ...I put down a 12.09@117.6 with Nitto DR's with my STOCK Eaton...should go 11.8's with some better traction...

You see this is what my car runs now... i want 10's or even high 9's. I know about porting the eaton by steigmeier or what ever they are called, just want more. I love turbo's but it will cost well over 10K and i can do alot of things with 10K. Like building the IRS and putting 700+ RWHP with a supercharger to the ground. I just want to now the difference in drivabillity between the two superchargers... Does anyone know? My goal is 600-700 RWHP, thats my target. Thanks!

3.4L whipple is a beast of a supercharger, but as mentioned, you will not take advantage of it, unless ur running 21+ psi... With bone stock engines, over 700rwhp is possible...

If you really want some awesome twin screw hp, do a heads/cams stroker set up with the 3.4 whipple... JR's car has seen over 800rwhp through a C4 automatic transmission!!!

If you want a tamer build, I would do a 2.6 KB....

What i mean is there much of a difference between 21 PSI and 16 PSI for regular street use. Just using it for a DD is the 5 PSI such a difference or is it just minimal?

Thanks!
