I am trying to gauge what a 2003 Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible may be worth...
My boss is selling his 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra Convertible and has tasked me with trying to sell it for him since I am the "company motorhead" and he does not have time to take calls, etc.
It is Black exterior, Black top, and black/graphite interior. It has only just under 17,000 miles and is in new condition. The 15,000 mile service has just been completed and it has only been serviced by the Ford Dealer. It is adult driven and does not have any mods on it..Totally stock
Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, and NADA put it at around $20,000, but a quick search of Autotrader for all of similar cars with under 30,000 miles were priced from $25,000 - $30,000.
I am not too familiar with the desireability of these cars, but based on what we have seen he would like around $27,000.. Is this way out of line for a line new 17,000 mile car?
If so, what would be a fair starting asking price?

i would have to say with those miles anywhere from 24k-26k. cobras hold their value.
its probably worth about $27k like he wants, but i doubt it will actually sell for that, especially if he wants it gone in a reasonable time. he may get that much if he is in no hurry to sell it.
