Cobra Reliability?
Hey guys new to the forums although i have been lurking for a couple months now.
Since my current car is a 1997 Thunder-Bird with 180k miles and a crank bearings thats about to go i have been searching for a new car and have been considering a mustang and keeping the T-Bird as a winter beater(New England winters are awful).
So i found a 1999 Cobra

Heres the problem the car has 94k miles and I am just wondering if im better of investing in a Mach 1 or nice Gt and save myself future repair costs?

Thanks 03 SVT, theres actually a 2004 Mach1 with 37k for 16k near my house that my dad absolutely drools over. Also i have been spoiled with the IRS in my Tbird and have never had a problem with traction in any situation, what would should i expect from a live rear axel?

i dont have any experience with the live rears that those have, but so far im not a huge fan of the IRS in my car, I'd love to put a 9 inch in it, drag racing performance is my main concern so i have no need for an IRS, I do like those mach1's they respond well to mods and are quite peppy you can safely supercharge one and make 400-500 at the wheels safely, so if you'd want room to improve that would definitely be your best bet, hope that helps you out and good luck finding a car
