Pilot bearing. Just for good measure, check your harmonic balancer too...if you have an aluminum flywheel.

Question

I know this is an old thread and I hope you found the issue. I read your original post and that is exactly where my ticking is coming from. It begins about 3-5 seconds after I start the engine and it lasts only about 3-4 seconds. I have an automatic transmission though. I have headers and dual exhaust on my '03, V-6, base coupe. If anybody drags up this old thread and can guide me it the right direction to finding the problem, I would greatly appreciate it.
