I HAVE AN 03 COBRA, AND THERE IS A SLIGHT TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE TRANNY, SEEMS LIKE RIGHT UNDER THE SHIFTER....I CAN ONLY HEAR IT WHEN IM STOPPED IN NEAUTRAL......AND CAN ONLY HEAR IT WHEN THE RADIO IS OFF, VERY SLIGHT TICK BUT NOTICEABLE.....JUST WONDERING IF THIS IS NORMAL ON THE 03-04 COBRAS??? HAS AFTERMARKET SHIFTER, MAYBE THAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM? UPR SHIFTER, WHICH SUCKS HAHA

?? Throw out bearing failure is fairly common with our cars...

Could also be the pilot bearing. HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt it's a transmission problem. Does the noise go away when you step on the clutch? If it does, something rotating is your problem.

it seems to go away when im driving, just seems to tick slightly when im stopped

Sounds like a throw out bearing...

if it is the throw out bearing then good, im getting a new clutch installed tomorrow, along with 3.73 and eibach pro lowering springs....so i should have a totally diff car by tomorrow haha

just got the clutch replaced with a centerforce dfx.....ticking is still there, but goes away when i put in clutch.....what could it be???

Was the throw out bearing replaced as well?

yes throw out bearing was replaced, what else would be it??
