Default Purchasing a 03/04 SVT Cobra next summer

So I have 18,000 to play around with (before I sell my car I currently have) and I am looking for a 2003 or 2004 SVT cobra. I think that I want stock, because if I buy something that has upgrades, it might already be beaten on?

I already have concluded for a 100% fact that I will be buying from a dealership that is reputable, 100% guaranteed of that. I made the mistake of buying my GT from some IDIOT looking to sell a car with a near-blown motor to an anxious 17 year old (me at the time, I'm 19 now) I have seen 2004 Cobras as cheap as 23,000 nearly stock with the exception of a Borla or Bassani exhaust.

I just want your opinions as to what I should look for? If you were in my position, what would you be doing?

Not buy from a dealership... go throw money out the window instead; that way someone decent will at least get it.

TRADE MY Mach 1 HOOD + scoop set up for easy GT install (attached, no intake system necessary, unless you want it) for a COWL hood and maybe STOCK + CASH (but probably not). The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte
