Question Intermittant RPM increase when shifting

When I depress the clutch in my 99 Cobra, the RPM increases to about 3000. The dealer changed the throttle position sensor and connector but the problem continued. They discussed with Ford SVT and they suggested repacing the wires from the computer to the sensor which they did. Still does the same. It has happened in hot stop and go traffic in LA and cool temps driving in the mountains??????

Does your vehicle have crusie control? If so, try disconnecting the cruise cable from the throttle bracket underhood and see if it continues....just a thought

We think alike. I looked under the hood the first time it happened and that was the only mechanical linkage other than the throttle. Needless to say, that wasn't it. Thanks for the thought!
