275's on the rear are just fine. It is OKAY. Sorry Jazzer for disagreeing with you... I ran 275 BFGoodrich Drag Radials for years on my Cobra, on the stock rims, before I was really fast. Now I'm on 10.5 in wide rear rims with 315's...

I just find too much info gets flying around in the forums and just want people to know what they are getting into.

A 275 is not horrible fit on an 8" wheel, but just like to see that information given as factual is accurate. I have no problem with those that go outside of manufacturers recommendations and knowing he/she is doing so. But, to tell someone to do so is fine and NOT telling them it is not approved, is a dis-service to anyone reading such a post.

^ I go by experience. Not by some "manufacturers" specs, as they are under rated for liability issues. It is FINE.

my friends 01 cobra with the same stock wheels runs 285's outback and it doesnt bulge over too bad, they werent even hard to mount
