OK, i have been trying to decide if I wanted to buy a GT or a Cobra. Some people have told me that the 96-98 4v cobra engine was really a useless one and that I would get better results with the 96-98 2v GT engine. I really don't know hence why I am asking. Either way I am going to supercharge it and am wondering if buying and modifying the cobra engine is actually worth the additional cost. Any info on this subject is very greatly appreciated.

I originally was leaning towards the GT but now I don't know. The 2v is more expensive to supercharge compared to a 4v (which if I have my information correct) you can bolt on a stock supercharger from an 03-04 4v cobra engine onto the 96-98 4v Cobra engine. Can someone clear this up?

so somebody told you that a 2v motor is greater than a 4v motor of the same year? one word "teksid" 96 2v 215hp vs 96 4v 305hp which one is useless again?

-96-98 4.6 2V GT Probably the worst engine to come out of Ford.
-96-98 4.6 4V Cobra Is one of the Best Engines to Ever come out of Ford.
If your friends with who ever told you different. Don't listen to them about car things because it is clear they know nothing.
And starting the same thread in 2 different section on the Forums is annoying

No I did not say anything about you posting in the wrong section. You have an Identical thread in the 4.6 General Section. What I said was annoying was the fact that you have 2 Identical threads in 2 Different sections

Cobra, thats like comparing a pellet gun and a .45. Cobra is better all around no doubt in my mind, and agree this was posted before and cobra took the poll there too. COBRA 100%
