Wanting these wheels for my Cobra. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-0...Q5fAccessories
Ok I know I need 1/2" spacers but have any of you done this and how does it look. I think these wheels look sick but cannot for the life of me find this style wheel in our 24mm offset. I am wanting 10.5s in the rear so will probably have to have a pair widened.

True forged chicanes=$4000. I now know why I like them so much. I can get that set of Driftz for $1100 and have the rears widened for $350. Just will need to add spacers. I just really like the look of those wheels but might have to settle for a set of FR500s

I was just gonna suggest a set of FR500's, they look similar enough IMO.
I think it is a bad idea to run a set of 1/2" spacers and NOT go longer/stronger lug-bolts. The studs are not long enough to support the weels without doing so. I recommend you find wheels meant to fit your ride and avoid this issue.
As for widening, it is not just as simple as widening a set of wheels to make them 10.5"s and fit properly. For example, if you take a 10" wheel and widen it to 10.5" you will end up gaining additional 1/4" of off-set, so would not fit as a New Edge 10.5" wheel. This is because you will gain 100% of widening into the backspace of the wheel, so would need to compensate with even thicker spacer. I run a set of 1/2" spacers and have replaced my lug-bolts as described. I now have a full 1" of treads within each lug-nut out back.
This may/may not relate directly to the OP's post, but just some things to keep in mind when looking to widen wheels. I anyone wishes to widen wheels, will not do better than Weldcraft Wheels for this work.
