A lot of folks think my tune is not reliable because it's on the "ragged edge". But how do they even know what a tune on the ragged edge really is? The only know what they read on the web or see on YouTube, or worse, they listen to the "wannabe tuner" that is still learning. They have NO TUNING experience on MY vehicle; and any GOOD tuner knows that all vehicles aren't made equally. They see other cars with less timing and boost and say , Oh that's what safe is. In reality, they're just hobbyist with a desire to learn. It's up to US to teach them what safe really is. That's what I'm trying to do. I have been beating on this car/motor for thousands and thousands of miles, and she's still going strong. So while others says it's unsafe, I say it sucks to be them because that's just more power that they're never going to experience because their "tuner" says it aint safe. Oh well man, I just can't help everyone I guess.
what kind of times did you run?

Thats kind of like saying, well it hasn't blown up yet... so it must be good. I agree that with a very good tune, you might be alright with where you are now (but make no mistake, one tank of bad gas...) But going to 21lbs is just is crazy, and frankly not worth it. For what, why push your luck?

The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte

I agree that 21 is a lot of boost for pump. But it also has to do with how the vehicle is driven. If you race the car every day, that running that much boost on pump alone is not smart, and is begging for more octane but will eventually cause it to fail. For a daily driver though, spending the majority of the time in cruise mode, it's not that critical. But there are folks out there that think 21 psi on pump even for a dyno pull will cause the motor to come flying apart. That's just not the case. "I" wanted to find just how much power could be made on 93. I know it can do 800+. I'm going to prove it. After I do, I will most likely turn it down to around 19 psi for the rest of the time. My whole idea was to have a decently aggresive street tune on 93, then just add race fuel and turn the boost controller up to 23-24 psi without having to flash a new tune it the car.

BTW I ran a 16.9 at 96 mph...LOL!

What's the OP's compression at? With a low compression engine even at that high of boost he can possibly run that much timing.

OP, what internals are you using?

(Some people don't know how to break up their books for easy reading) LOL

8.5:1 compression...stock Ford glory. I'm wasn't running for max et...I was doing a couple shake-downs to see if the 3.27's hurt me or helped. They hurt me. Go figure. I was trying to get a big trap number so i was short shifting at like 3K rpm to try and get into 4th gear sooner for a big top end charge. Launched off idle, on street tires (not drag radials), and pump gas with about 18 psi. I was trying to trap 135 on street tires, the best I got that day was 125. Pulled plugs when i got home because she felt a little down on power. Found two fouled plugs. Not bad though, trapping 125 on street tires, pump gas, and 6 cylinders totally screwing around.
