I have a question about my hood. The hood seems to have a functional heat extractor, however on the inside of the hood is only a liner with no opening to extract heat. Is the extractor real or just cosmetic? If its real, then how does it function with the liner covering it?

So why would they go to the trouble of actually having an opening? They could have done the Ford usual and covered with with rubber decals or some other fake crap. I hate fake hood scoops/side scoops. I would rather have smooth lines or real scoops.

Wouldn't we all? Well, if youre handy, remove the liner and gingerly chop the metal brace that runs right under it. Then it's functional! Or just get an aftermarket hood.

Do you know someone who has done this? The hood sloops down to the heat extractor vent, so I don't see how it could be functional and not flood the engine in a rain storm. A aftermarket hood like the 03 cobra style would be sweet....hum decisions.
