Default Alignment need when replacing front shocks?

This is the only thing the d*** Chilton's don't tell you about replacing shocks. Can anyone share their experience on this?

It's always a good idea to have an alignment after you do any front suspension work.

c/c plates give you more adjustment when performing an alignment. not hard to do with the proper equipment. u should have no probs getting an alignment.
