Default pinion bearing/crush sleve preload

hey guys im going to be swapping ann irs into my car and i need to install the stock (sha)yoke (i belive ) onto the irs. my question is when i take the yoke off will it affect the preload on the pinion bearing and crush sleve. and when i put it back on what is the preload on the crush sleve and pinion bearing supposed to be

I wondered the same thing when I did mine. I ended up having a shop redo mine because I had the Pinion shimmed wrong.
I would call a shop and ask them. In my head you should not have to preload the crush sleeve again. Once it is crushed it doesn't go back by itself. But that is what my thinking was when I was doing my swap.

the only reason i ask is because i dun wanna swap yokes and tighten the new one down and....umm... crush the sleve even more and bugger up a rear thats ready to go in the car and have to wait. . my goal here is to have the cobra on one lift and the v6 on another lift. and swap from the motor back all in one day. and why you ask i dont use the 4 valve.. cuz its high dollar motor and i already have a blower motor built
