Default Looking To Buy Cobra

I'm new here but not the Mustang world i used to own 3 Foxbodies, Now i'm looking at two Cobra's, The first is a 96 with 55k, the only mod is a Hurst shifter, original owner, He still has the window sticker, he's asking $10,000 for it. The second is a 97 just under 55k, mods are 4:10, flowmasters, jlt ram air, sct programmer, mgw shifter. Owner did a full tune up 1 year ago and replaced tires, all stock parts included, not sure how many owners, i would guess 2, asking $10,500. By the way they are both Red with Tan Int. My question is which one sounds better to you guy's (Im leaning towards the 96 because of the fact it's a 1 owner car that's all stock and i can start with a clean vehicle) do the prices seem fair i was going to offer $8,000 or would that be an insult. Thanks in advance

And that was an excellent deal. $10K on a one owner car with 55K miles is a friggin good price.
