good find but i would rather buy a stock one from an older driver than one with a bunch of race spec stuff because you can only assume the worst with how it was cared for.

Hey man, I remember you from the S197 section lol. Buying a cobra now huh?

The car appears to be in good shape from the 1 pic shown. Just make sure it runs good and shifts smoothly. Also see when the oil, coolant, and fuel filter have been changed. A thing you have to know/remember about the 4v's is the dreaded head tick problem. Make sure the car does not have it and if you get it, the first mod should be the evenflow head cooling mod.

yup, i still hang out in the s197 section. and i remember you too, traded your s197 in for the cobra, right? I bought a fox body earlier this year, but looking for something a little newer. i like the looks of the new edge, and white is a good DD color. i'm gonna talk to a friend that does a lot of work on local mustangs here, maybe he can give some insight into this particular mustang. but being mostly a s197 guy, enlighten me on the head tick problem and the evenflow head cooling mod.

I believe this article talks about the problem and the mod to help:

http://www.evenflowcooling.com/home.html

I bought mine from:

http://www.lethalperformance.com/99-...ng-mod-p-16951

I hope that's the right article, I got so many on it saved to my favorites lol

I have a 97 Cobra. Does this mod apply to my 4.6 DOHC also?

I paid 11,500 for my 99 with 54K miles. That's a pretty good deal, just look it over carefully.

changed my mind. i'm gonna look for something newer. i am looking at a couple 2004 GT's. there's nothing wrong with the cobra, just want something newer with less miles on it. if i run accross a terminator, even better.

What are you going to be using the car for? I mean you got a new car already in your s197 lol. You looking for a DD or a track car?
