Default no running right?

my dad just got a 97 cobra like mine and we put a 65 mm t-body on there and the mass air car has carbon build up in the pipes should i get plugs that burn hotter or what it site fine at a idol ?

come again? are you saying that the mass air sensor has carbon build up on it? also, stock heat range for plugs are fine if the car just has bolt on performance parts.

noo the mass air is fine the car has carbon build up in the pipes and sounds like its surgin and stalls sometime at an idol and if you jump on it quick it like bogs down like a 2 stroke that has a lot of build up.

I had a very similar problem on one of my mustangs a while back. Turned out to be the throttle positioning sensor. The T.B.S needed to be adjusted to a certain position, to read correctly. I too had replaced a throttle body and this is what ended up giving me my trouble. You'll need a voltage tester or ohm meter or something like that.?? Maybe someone else here can help clarify my descriptions. ??
