Default Belt Tensioner broke

Hey guys i was puttin a new belt on my car last night and this new belt is the same belt as the last one just 1/10 of an inch short when comparing the 2 prolly cause its cold and hasnt been streatched...well we were so close to gettin it on and just couldnt....so i took 2 bolts off the tensioner then to get just a hair more room and proceed to torgue it back into place with a breaker bar and snapped the part off where you slid in your 1/2 drive wrench (not 3/8)....what is a good replacement tensior...should i just go get oem from ford...any ideas of a better way to fit this belt on also

thanks

IMO I would just go with stock. That's probably the 1 part of the 04 Cobra that is just fine leaving stock haha. Also are you running completely stock pulleys? If not then you may want to double check that belt size, I don't think it should be that freaking tight.

no i have all aftermarket pulleys with the whipple....i just ordered stock replacement....i got the exact same belt to put back on it and it came off pretty easy....i just think that im gonna leave it out in the sun and give it alittle stretch....hopefully thatll work i know itll stretch somemore once its on but ya
