I will agree that generally it is better for as you said HIGHER power levels in a Mustang. I have had several turbo Hondas, and never would have considered using an s/c a turbo is proper for that application.

As I have always understood with superchargers; you must have power to make power, if that makes sense to you as it did me. Superchargers like you said are more than sufficient for majority of people's applications.

Some turbos now though can be spooled almost instantaneously, but generally to a higher power level. The ONLY Mustang people I know with turbos are putting out 800+ and have track only cars. IMO they arent the most practical for a DD Mustang or even a weekend cruiser. 03/04 motor with cams and a larger KB would be a good build to me

Exactly, I mean, if you want to make 1000 rwhp, then go for it! lol Slap on a huge turbo. But very few people even remotely know what 1000 rwhp is like, and on the street, it is pretty much useless, stupid and dangerous...

Ding ding.

Exactly my point. You hit a certain point with a supercharger where you cant keep the rear sticking to the ground. IMO that's pointless for a street car. That point would be way before 1000 too

So far nobody has answered my question. The supercharger would just be a possiblity down the road. What should I buy as far as internals. Lets stop the bickering back and forth and answer the question.

I'm gonna piggyback this topic rather than starting my own similar. I traded my 00 GT for a F350 now I may be trading that for a 99 Cobra vert. As far as frankenstiening a supercharger for it, if I just went with a stock s/c from 03/04 Cobra, would the stock 99 internals be fine or should they be beefed up? and if for some crazy reason my wife let me get a KB s/c, same question about the internals.
