Default 1999 mustang cobra rebuild

I have a 99 mustang cobra. I am interested in rebuilding the motor and fixing the suspension. I don't know where to start. I would like to buy all the parts I am going to put on before I start the work. I would like to increase horsepower in the process and MAYBE supercharge it later down the road. Any ideas to do with my car are wanted. I figured I could get input from a bunch of people on what is best to buy. I would greatly appreciate all the input you have. If you have good place to buy the parts that would also be helpful. Thanks again.

I want it to be a street car. I don't want anything crazy but a fast street car. Maybe 450 HP or in that neighborhood. My pockets are not deep but I want to spend the money on good stuff. I'll save up and buy until I have all the parts.

You want to stay N/A or go F/I?

N/A=Natural Aspiration
F/I=Turbo/Supercharger/Nitrous

A turbo kit for 450 rwhp is wasted money... Pretty much the most expensive way to get there...

Well seeing as to how your drive a V6 car, I understand lol. But 450 rwhp is fun. And a turbo kit is the most expensive way to get there. The supercharger kits still have PLENTY of room to grow as well...

Yes that is true but it has been proven that Turbo's are better I prefer a SC because the Sound/Look better to me but we all have to admit that for performance a turbo is better..Yeah a ProCharger or Vortech would be awesome but why not go ahead and get a D1SC/T Trim?

It all depends on what you want, and the size of the turbo, just the same as what you want and the size of the head unit of the supercharger. I am fine with my Whipple car, and it costs a lot less than a turbo.

Turbo has sacrifices. You want to make more peak hp, you need a bigger turbo, but you get more lag.

That is NOT the case with a supercharger.

If you have a target hp number, might as well get it with the less expensive route.

What is that supposed to mean?I like my V6 but it wasn't what I wanted..I still like it and will make the most of it though..And I'm sure that most Mustang owners will want more HP than they currently have..

No offense intended, but if I was driving a near stock V6 car, I too would be currently disappointed with the power I am making.

You just told me in a PM that your getting Dyno'd again with more Boost..Now why do you do this?I'm guessing you want more power.

Apples to oranges, my friend. Apples to oranges. I am still supercharged, so which direction do you want to take your argument now? I already said that the superchargers have room to grow. You are FAR from being stuck at 450 rwhp. Just a simple upgrade to the head unit, or pulley sway, and you have more power. Turbo's are not worth the extra money, if you can get to the same level with a supercharger.

i agree with procharging it or some centrifugal way if your pockets are tight...basically build yourself and 03 04 motor and youll be happy...
