Why are Cobra's nicknamed "terminator"?

I guess you could say SVTs development of the "Terminator" in 2002 did what it was intended, and Terminated the competition lol, since the Camaro/Firebird was Terminated that year!

I know what an Eliminator is I was trying to figure out how that has anything to do with why an 03/04 is called an Terminator

read iron fist lead foot and you will know why its called the terminator. then engine had to withstand over 300 hours on the dyno under load in peak HP and peak Tq the whole time. and 16hrs of track time, and 500 heavy launches form a dig. the engine is a beast

Idk, driving my car and riding in my car would give it a run for it's money. There have been a few Terminator Cobras that I've stood up against, one had a turbo added to the blower, and the look on their faces when I blew the doors off em was priceless LOL! Then a couple of them and I became fast friends!

If I'm not mistaken, Terminator refers to the supercharged 03/04 Cobras specifically. Termi is just shorthand, but it sounds like nails on a chalkboard.
