Default change of plans

I have an 01 cobra and I received a lot of great advice on what I should do to turn it in to a power house, including putting in an entirely new powerplant (forged). So I asked my father in law to see if he would help me and he actually changed my mind.

Let me know what y'all think of this. I have decided that in the (way) off chance that this car will one day become a collectible, I will only make minor mods such as bolt ons, tuner and new set of cams.

In addition to having this done, I will purchase another mustang (a true mustang lovers dream, having more than one mustang in his garage). This one however, 05-07 sixxer.

This car I will yank the engine, tranny, and drivetrain and put in all brand new mmr longblock, 6 speed, etc. The total investment (including the car) should run around 30k. Watcha guys think? Worth it?

I will also be putting cervini's eleanor body kit on it. The total

Do whatever you want. 2001 Cobras won't hold a candle (in value as a collectible) to the Terminator. I'd personally just mod the Cobra...

with 30k buy a termi, then throw a kb or whipple with the left over cash... theres your 600+hp toy. Or build the 01 block and throw a twinn turbo on that thing... a much harder route but ive always wanted one:P

ok lets put it like this you put 30k into you 01 fully rebuild TT set you wont get anything close to what you put into it!! or go get a mint termi for 20k add 10k in mods which will be a new sc and the car will be worth 25K or more if someone falls inlove with it!

If you have the horsepower bug, you should get used to driving a 400hp stock term so you
get used to the power, then build it up.

You don't want to go 600hp and wind up in a ditch.

Maybe he's talking about longterm? 4+ years? Still alot of $$$. I just picked up an 01 also and keep thinking I should have waited and bought the termi. Just my 2cents.
