Default I'm so excited I can't even think.

So, In roughly 30 days when I get my check, I'm buying a terminator. It's gonna be my take it out to the beach when its nice car. I'm stuck between vert or coupe. I've seen both for roughly the same price and low miles. What do you think? I'm leaning pretty heavy towards vert as I'm not gonna be driving the car unless its hot and sunny. Any thoughts?

Attaboy, prepare for much excitement. I am firmly in favor of convertibles. I am on my 3rd convertible Mustang and loving it. I haven't seen or heard of any technical issues that would make the convertible better or worse than the coupe. You may want to put SFCs and a tower brace on it, might flex a bit more than a coupe. But other than that, it's pretty much personal preference, unless you're expecting to take it to the track often. There may be rules barring/limiting convertibles at the track. But I am all for the convertible! If you're even thinking about it, you gotta do it!

My vote Convertible all the way but it all depends, will this be you daily driver? You live in MA I believe, Do you have a garage? Those NE winters will take a hell of a toll on your roof if you get the vert.

Unless you're worried about track/race times, the extra weight doesn't matter... as to the looks, eh, I don't understand people that don't love the convertible!!

I always told myself I would never get a vert, well I did, and now I think that it is one of the best things ever! Although with a terminator, sometimes I forget about the fact that it is a vert because it is so damn fun to drive! Either way you will be happy, with a vert you kind of have 2 cars in one.... Besides, you can get a "style" or light bar and toughen the car up a bit.

The vert ruins the lines of the car IMO.

I feel the opposite way. I never thought the rounded coupe top fit well with the more straighter lines of the New Edge body. That rounded top fits better on the SN95.. But eh, the world would be dull if we all liked the same things the same way...
