Cobra build suggestions
So I want to make at least 650hp~800hp I know im going to go with a whipple 3.4 or 4.0 down the road. Right now I want to do all the supporting mods so I dont have to worry to much about breaking anything. So the first thing im going to upgrade is the clutch and a few other little things. Any advice appreciated:

well your on a start...i didnt see any hp number on that clutch but i would recommend going with a dual friction or twin disc clutch there very streetable but hold that kind of power very well i have a spec twin disc to be exact
everything else looks fine but you are missing another big part and thats your output shaft...with that kind of power and a really strong clutch you will be sure to snap your output shaft in a matter of time so i would go with a 31 spline output shaft
also get ready to break stuff with that power haha its the nature of the beast man but the more you make stronger the better chances you will have at not breaking those components

Thanks, exactly rather have stronger parts so I can worry less lol I figture do clutch work/drivetrain then some cooling mods, then fuel system upgrade then the blower
Btw do you know where I can get an aluminum driveshaft? Cant find one to fit the cobra

you can make 650+ hp easy on the 2.9 whipple, and not even change your hood or lower the mounts. To me, 2.9 is the perfect size for the 4.6. Im running the 2.9 with the stock 3.5 pulley and made 600 to the wheels on a mustang dyno on pump gas. Going back in a month or so after i put in a 50/50 meth kit and 3.25 pulley, expecting closer to 700 at the wheels if not alittle more. I wont ever push mine past 18-20 psi, but i could see people pushing 25+ with it potentially making over 800hp in the future, if not already.

lol blackvenoms totally right dont go that high on horsepower unless your ready to have downtime on the car and spend alot of money upgrading everything. I made that mistake i put a spec 3 plus clutch in my car and i been replacing everything in the drivetrain.

redneck racer has a point i think lol..i havent heard much bout the 2.9's yet cause there so new but when im tired of my 2.3 thats what im gonna get basically casue i dont wanna change the hood... i make 650 at 21 psi with a 3.0 pulley and meth on a safe tune so maybe a 2.9 would be perfect for you...i have heard about alot of belt slip issues with the 3.4's but they do look so cool cause there so big hahah

the 2.9 fits so perfectly under the hood... and to me the termi hood is just sexy... i made 583 hp on a mustang dyno with only 15-16lbs of boost very low timing and pump gas and a stock motor. From what i understand thats nearly 650hp on a dynojet and thats with the stock sent pulley that comes with the 2.9... and you can only go up from there. Im going back soon after i put a snow performance meth kit in and a 3.25 pulley and my tuner expects very close to 700 on the mustang dyno as ill be able to run better timing with the meth. I dont think the 3.4 is bad, they do make kits to lower the engine..... but why when the 2.9 is fully capable of doing in your power range... and any higher you might as well go turbo anyways.

i wouldnt say main i would say everything hahah..youll of course need fuel entire drivetrain including suspension...if you hood youll tear throw bushings like butter...solid rear in your best interest full length subframes and so on
