Unhappy broken block? :(

so while my car was getting a clutch swapped my mechanic noticed the bottom piece of the block was broken????

it came right off..

he said the car is still driveable and fine and that this wont affect the car....because it is just as support and that all the screws are properly put in place. (so no shaking, etc)

is this true or should i be extremely worried?

would you drive and mod the car in this state?

i just bought the car this past weekend and the a**hole seller didnt tell me this!

what are my options if any and should i be driving the car likes this???

has this happened to any one of you?

here are some pics of i took of it.

im low on money so just replacing it is out of the question
i really love cobras though and dont want to get rid of it like that either.....i have been wanting one for awhile and now that i got it this sucks.

It looks to me like whoever installed the last clutch got lazy and didn't tighten the top bolts very well. That over-stressed the block in that area and... crack.

That's kinda scary, because I just did the clutch on my Mach 1 and found out that the top two bolts on the bell housing were left off completely, as well as the 3rd starter bolt. Some people...
