Default MAC longtube headers

So I am looking to purchase and install some ceramic coated MAC longtubes in my 2001 cobra and I was wondering if anyone out there knows if I need to modify the stock exhaust system to get them in. I have a couple friends that are going to help with installation so I'm not worried about that. Any input would be appreciated. I plan on installing a bassani catted x-pipe and borla xr-1 mufflers down the road. Any input would be appreciated!

I'm not a fan of the fit/quality of mac longtubes, but that's just my opinion and personal experience with them. If you haven't bought them yet, I would save up some more money and get Kooks or ARH. I know they are more, but you get what you pay for. Now I hope you know when you install the Longtubes, you need to install a new "Shorty" midpipe at the same time.

if your gettin a bassani mid then just get the bassani headers which are made to fit perfectly to the midpipe...bassani headers are pretty good i used them on my old 01 cobra granted ARH an kooks are the best but also the most expensive..

I got the mac long tubes to go on my 03 cobra should be installing them in about a week. If you dont have longtubes already, then the midpipe you have now wont work with longtubes. Lethalperformance sells a o/r and catted x pipe to fit the mac long tubes perfectly that way it takes out the fitment issues that some were having with mac.

See I originally wanted the bassani midlength headers on lethalperformance and the catted xpipe but wasn't sure if they'd fit each other without modification to the plumbing. I haven't bought the MAC headers yet but I think I'll just go with bassani headers and xpipe. The only thing I'm having a hard time finding now is the piping after the mufflers but I suppose I can have a local muffler shop make that. Thanks for the info guys! My JLT CAI arrives in the mail tomorrow so that'll be my first mod.

fits great i was pleasantly surprised how well made they are...prolly one of the easiest header installs ive done...

most likely youll have to have it made or take the pipe you have now and cut in those muffler...also could find some used exhaust on craigslist and cut those mufflers into that
