Hey there im currently deployed and my friend back at home said he was driving on the highway and accidently dropped it in to 2nd, he said the motor died right after that. only other information is that he said he tried to trurn the crank and nothing happend, after the fact that the car wouldnt turn over. just wondering if anyone of you might of had a similar problem, im just trying to diognose it before i get home to help him, do some research. also i have a 98 Svt Cobra motor sitting at home it was given to me for free, id like to get a 98 svt body to put it in, but what i drive now is a 2000 V6. i have the wiring harness and the ecu, im reading that if i wanted to swap it i could, only thing i would have to change down the road is a beefier trans, and the 8.8 rear end, and clutch obviously. i just dont want to feel like when i put this into a V6 body that i get **** for it, i plan on doing all the work my self, just wondering what you guys think and if i should do it and any info on what i should do, or if anyone has a body i could get from them? i still think it would be cool when someone ask what i have under my hood and i open it up and that cobra spits its venom in their eyes. also if if i do do this id heard the 00' trans could bolt up is that true, i know i dont want to beat on it if it goes in till i get the new trans.

Personally I think if you put the cobra motor in a v6 and had a mellow exhaust you could really mess with some people. You would have a stock lookin v6 with the power of a v8. Can you say potential sleeper?

You need a 4.6 k-member and your v6 trans will not bolt up to a modular motor
