Exclamation Needp Help p0401

My car has set for a year and had transmittion rebuild and fuel drained and new filiter put in. Drove for a week and the car started to die off at 3500 while driving with a ruff idle. Then it was a hard start to now just not wanting to start or idle with a code of p0401 and another code ????. Is there anyone that has had this problems the car is a 1997 cobra with 97,000 miles and is almost bone stock.(intake,timing advance,short shifter,no cats,mill ellimonaters,upgraded coil packs and wires,lowered,and a superchips programer)


What would it be and where would I start.
Fuel pressure
Fuel pump
DPFE
CCRM
Injectors

Symptoms- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible engine hesitation

Possible causes- EGR solenoid valve harness is open or shorted
- EGR solenoid valve circuit poor electrical connection
- EGR volume control valve stuck closed
- Dead (Weak) battery
- Faulty EGR temperature sensor and circuit
- Faulty EGR Valve
- EGR passage clogged
- Exhaust gas leaks

Start with the easy stuff. Make sure the battery is ok. Being that it sat so long the battery could be charged enough to crank but may not be re-charging. If that checks out ide go back over your work around the filter/tank since you say you just changed and drained everything. Its probably something stupid simple like a hose or tube near the tank not plugged in correctly. I know the EGR is a pain on my car, but you may have to pull the tube and valve off and try cleaning it, it may be clogged.
