Belt slip or clutch?
So im having a little problem with the cobra.. the clutch has about 20k on it, replaced about a year ago/stock, and the belt was changed about 4 months ago/gatorback. Every gear engages fine but theres a problem in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th. It seems as soon as boost kicks in the rpms go up but the car doesnt go anywhere. I can stomp the gas hard and it doesnt slip until i go into boost.. i can launch in 1st without any slip until high rpms4-5k.. i did notice alot of belt dust on the pulley and idler.. any ideas?

just got it replaced with another stock at ford.. never had adjustments.. i hope its just an adjustment? lol you do get a burning smell sometimes only if i keep on the gas once it slips but figured it could be the belt smoking too.. the belt has slight wear but if you touch anywhere on the belt you get dust on your fingers and the pulley is covered , which i cleaned a week and a 1/2 ago..

IM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM IN MY 05 GT. NOT FEELING THE POWER WHEN I FLOOR IT OR DOWN SHIFT, JUST SEE THE RPMS SHOOT UP AND THEN IT ENGAGES. ALSO SMELL A BURNING... ITS THE CLUTCH. CURIOUS...WHY DID U GO WITH A STOCK CLUTCH INSTEAD OF A STAGE 2? DID U REPLACE THE FLYWHEEL OR GET IT CLEANED WHEN YOU REPLACED THE CLUTCH?

All stock drivetrain wise so no unless theres a firewall adjuster stock lol il have to find my recipt from ford.. i would hope if there were any worn parts they whould have told me and not just throw in the new clutch.. not sure if it was resurfaced or not.. il check. at the time i couldnt afford the clutch i wanted so i just kept it stock
