Default 03 Cobra New Tire Options Help

I've heard the following tires are good as but am unsure which people are talking about when it comes to the Nitto because their's the NT 555 and NT 555 R can someone clear things up. This car is not my daily driver but when I drive I drive aggressive. Nothing on the track, all street so I'd like something that has decent wear and does well in the rain. I know I won't get everything I want with it being a termi and there's no such thing as good in the rain with wide tires but I'm hearing get the Nittos so I need to know which ones. All helps appreciated.

Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 - $144 ea
Nitto NT 555 - $169
Nitto NT 555 R - 184
Nitto NT05 - $179

The NT555R is a drag radial. I had the regular NT555's and they are just plain awful in the rain and they wore pretty quick not to mention they were loud. They do stick pretty well though.

Can't go wrong with Nitto 555 tires .... the 555R is a great tire in the rain (if you get caught in it, that is )

Lets see/hear details of your Cobra!!

I haven't ever driven Nittos, so can't speak to those. But I'm a fan of Michelin Pilot Sport Plus A/S. That's the best tire I've personally used. They handle well dry and noticeably better in rain than past tires, and have a 45,000 mile rating which is better than many/most sport tires which usually rate at about 30,000...

We've had a lot of people who are having really good luck with the Cooper Zeon RS3 line. You've got the RS3-A which is an all season and has a 40k warranty and the RS3-S which is a summer tire with a 20k warranty. Both have excellent wet weather traction and the RS3-A has decent light snow traction.
