Exhaust Opinion's
Hey Guys, I'm trying to go for the Very loud yet controllable DEEPER sound without a "raspy" tone so my new setup is going to be or atleast was thinking after research maybe
1. High Flow Cats + O/R H too Slp LM1 = Should be perfect yea ? What you guys think ? Sorry have to throw it out there for you experts lol

why do u want high flow cats if u r wanting a very loud setup? seems like a step in the wrong direction and an unnecessary expenditure. less restriction=more loud
IMO i would Offroad Hpipe->MAC boom tubes
But if u like the sound of the SLPs then thats totally fine. I have LT headers, offroad H pipe then mac mufflers and its pretty loud. ur going a step louder with a resonator tip axle back which i have been on the fence about doing myself.

It was a option I was told. I'm still not sure exactly, I'm trying to find the actual Mufflers not resonator or and idk what the "shotgun" style or the bullet type ? What is the difference. And what kind of cats do you recommend ?

u have three classes- from quiet to loud
muffler
resonator-shotgun style
muffler delete
if u want loud then i would strongly suggest no cats. u will get a engine light on ur gauge cluster but thats to be expected. a tuner will turn that off and help out ur overall performance in the end.
My advice to you: Since i dont kno what ur budget is, ill just give u an outline. I would start out buying a tuner for ur car. almost a must have for any mustang owner. then i would look around on youtube and figure what sounds u like. if u want deep then we already know u want an H pipe. next is finding what particular sound u want. I love my MAC mufflers. loud, grumbly, deep, loud some more. Polished stainless steel and the fit was great. plus they arent that expensive. U can go with mufflers, resonator (shotgun), or muffler deletes. IMO muffler deletes are eardrum shattering loud on a car without cats and are not deep sounding anymore. if you go with resonator type axle backs, i think, IMO, that u will be almost at the threshhold for loud and pure annoyance.

Thank you for the info ! I just actually bought a Tuner for it and went with high flow cats, and the Slp LM 1 "shotgun" style I think it'll be right at a good deep tone and still have a good mean rumble to it !

Heres what I have right now. Its VERY loud at anything above 2000RPM or about 1/4 throttle.
That's probably about the worst vid in the history of vids, but you can hear the exhaust.
I have stock H pipe with cats deleted, dynomax 12in bullets welded on stock cat back.
Its insanely loud. I just had the bullets installed a few days ago and I'm already looking for something else. Going with the 18in bullets would quiet it down some, not sure how much though.

I have a catted h pipe and mac catback. It sounds like a huge boat when it's idling if that makes sense haha. Super deep and gurgley. Love it. When driving it still stays real deep and loud when you want it to with little bits of pops and gurgles.
Yea having no cats and headers will be super loud and give you a little hp gains. But for many people including me I aim for a more refined tone and that doesn't kill my ears after driving to work.
All personal preference in the end though!
