Prepping for restart after sitting
Hey all,
I am hopefully ready to fire the car back up in a day or two but I want to take any precautions necessary after the car has been sitting.
Quick backstory:
Car (2004 Cobra) flooded very badly - gas backed all the way up into the throttle body (aka cylinder(s) were filled). The car sat for 3-4 weeks - then fired up but ran very poorly (problem had not been fixed). It then flooded up again. The car has since set without being started or run for another 3+ weeks.
I think I've got the problem sorted out, thanks to some help on here, but I am wondering what else I should do before restarting the car.
Obviously I am replacing the defective parts and hooking everything back up. I am also aware that I need to change the engine oil ASAP.
Do I need to remove the supercharger and add a little oil to the cylinders? I was told they could be washed out and I might ruin the rings on start up.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
