Default Cobra Differential housing swap help

Goof afternoon, I have a 2003 Cobra that I would like to swap the differential on. I have heard that you can get a nodular iron differential housing out of a Thunderbird that will fit into the Cobra IRS. Unfortunately my google searches have not turned up enough information to make me comfortable with moving forward in any direction.

So, my questions are 1: Is my information correct? Can a Thunderbird iron differential housing be swapped into a Cobra IRS? If the answer to my first question is yes, then 2: What specs should I be looking for in the replacement differential housing? and 3: Where can I find one?

I've read a few posts in here on differences between the differentials in the TBird and Cobra such as spline count, however I am by no means an expert, or even moderately skilled in this area. I've done some reading, but that's about it. Any information you can share about the pro's or con's of this type of swap would be greatly appreciated.
