It's a Focus. To me, there's just no way I can unsee this and it ruins the entire car for me. First Ford jacked the Aston grille and put it on the Focus, then the Taurus, now we're getting a honeycomb copycat on our Mustang.
It's not just the grille though, the headlights are the same shape as well as the fogs with minor placement changes, and the body lines are almost entirely identical if the stang had 4 doors. Just compare the front ends of the cars, there's no difference.
Don't get me wrong, the back of the car is interesting and I know it's going to be fast. The Mustang is now a world market car and they want to appeal to everyone, but come on Ford. My 2 cents: I hate it.

There was talk with Falcon motors in AussieLand back when the 2005 was going to be released as to whether or not they would offer a 4-door version and a ranchero type version with the 'new' mustangs. That obviously never happened, but Falcons in the Aussieland have always been single platform multi-body.
Looks like that talk came came up again and this time won! Is that 4-door the Fusion or Taurus?

Yep, that is the first thing my wife and I said when we saw it. Almost at the same time we saw it unveiled on YouTube, "it's a Fusion!".
I have a 2011 GT but like the 2013-2014 styling best. One thing's for sure, I definitely will NOT be getting a 2015 style. Not sure what to upgrade to now, the new C7 vette has an ugly butt, the new Mustang is a mess. Just plain no @ any Camaro. Guess it's time to throw on the front fascia of a -13 or -14 and a Roush 710R s/c and call it a day & forget about any cars for the next 10 years.

To me the issue is, NO issue. I have to see it in person, sit in it, drive it, and let it sink in first. And besides the pic looks like the entry level model. Who knows what other features Ford has in mind when it really hits the streets. I still have to wait and see for myself to make any comment.

Like I said, I have no doubts the car will be fast and will totally kill at the track. To me this is the gentleman's Mustang, but that's what I hate about it. No gentleman wants a Mustang. Cadillac really pulled it off with the CTS-V how the car is so plush, looks great without being too "look at me", and will still go almost 200 mph right out the door.
I just feel like they were huffing paint when they designed the front end is all.

If you don't like the skinny headlights, how do you ever look at a New Edge? We've had 'em before. I like the car. No, it doesn't look like the current model. It's not supposed to.
And, now just to give you nightmares, I give you the Fustang...
