Well the guys over on Camaro5 are licking their chops at the thought of the 2015 gaining weight while the 2016 should lose weight on the smaller GM's Alpha platform.

Gaining weight? All I have heard about is the mustang losing weight or worse case staying the same.
yes, IRS suspension is typically heavier than SRA. It's one reason why the Cobra owners in '03/'04 were doing a IRS SRA swap. That and the SRA was stronger for drag racing :-)
The power was kind of announced or thrown out there for the V6 and 4 cyl models. The V6 will drop 5hp to 300 and 10 TQ to 270. The 4 banger will have 305Hp and 300 tq. V8 is stipulated to have At least 420hp and 390 tq (or whatever the current figures are).

AS stated above. The GT will most likely be heavier due to the IRS.

The Camaro moves to GM's Alpha platform (Cadillac ATS and other future GM models) to save significant weight and cost. The run of the mill ATS weighs about 3550 and a loaded top end ATS is about 3700 pounds. Big weight saving over the 3900 pound Camaro. Dimensions will be smaller over all also but nothing official yet.
