If I could afford a new car I would get the V8. I have no doubt the 2.3L will be a little beast. 305HP and 300tq is nothing to sneeze at and would be a really quick car especially for someone who just wants a daily driver that doesn't care about the roar of a V8. And like artdohc said, you could probably tune it and get another 40ish HP out of it. Not to mention and other mods like cams, exhaust, bigger turbos, etc (once that stuff starts coming out for these cars). Maybe get it up around the 400ish hp mark, maybe more, and you would have a beast on your hands. But for me the sound of the V8 is worth the extra money in it's own. Not to mention the power that it will put down out of the box.

The problem that I think I will have, is how the 2.3L will sound. I think I might get sick to my stomach the first time I hear the 2.3L with an exhaust system on it. That sound just shouldn't be coming out of a Mustang. Now, if you don't care about that, and want to see 30mpg, with over 300hp (not to mention the crazy tunes that im sure will be available) go with the smaller motor. It sounds like your mostly into the look of the 2015.. True?

I consider myself Normal.... And I can afford it.

I understand that a 2.3L may be a better buy for you BUT you really would feel better with the power of a V8. To me a real mustang is a V8.

Call me old fashioned ("you're old fashioned"), but I'm having a hard time picturing the new Mustang with a 4-banger under the hood. The wide low stance and big nose reeks of V8 to me...I have nothing against 4 cyl cars, I've owned some nice performing 4's such as an Acura RSX-S, but in this Mustang? I'm not so sure.
