got a new 2016 GT!
Hey everybody! I'm not new here, but I haven't been on here for a while since I last sold my 2015 GT premium and picked up a used 2013 Ford Focus ST3, so I could have extra money, in case my (now ex)girlfriend and I were to buy a house and have a baby together...well, now she's dumped and I'm back in the saddle again! I now have a competition orange 2016 GT premium, 6spd manual with 3.55 gears, and I love this one even more so than the '15 I had before. Well, here she is in all her beauty!

I never had any problems with the myfordtouch in my '15 GT, but the myfordtouch in my 2013 Focus ST3 froze on me all the time. With that said, it does everything pretty much the same as MFT, just different visuals. It is more responsive, though. And, i can actually stream Pandora through it, unlike MFT. Overall, it's better, IMO, but not worth trading for a 2016 just for the sync3. Now the heat extractor turn signals are definitely worth upgrading to a '16 for lol.

I had a 2013 (lease) before going to the 2016, which used Sync 2 (My Ford Touch is a modified version of Sync 2 IIRC). The Sync 3 is such a huge upgrade with the responsiveness alone, it literally moves just like a tablet or smartphone, it's even better than a Tesla's touch screen interface. I think once you play with it more you're going to see how big of an upgrade it actually is; when you go to type an address in the nav you just type it in now, just as you would on google maps or something (no street/city/state/house number BS), you can also just type something like "movies" and it will pull up all the movie theaters in your area (just like a google search, you could also do "food", "martial arts", business names like "Home depot" - literally whatever you want). The voice recognition is so much better as well (it actually gets your requests correct 99.9% of the time now!), you can even say "climate" -> "set temperature to X" to adjust. You can also hold down the "M" button on the steering wheel controls to use Siri or Google Voice through the sound system.
There's a few video guides on youtube made by various Ford Dealerships, they're long but worth watching to learn the extent of what you can do with Sync 3. It actually takes a large poo on every other touch system I've ever used from other cars in recent years (Honda, BMW, Tesla, Lexus, Jag, Infiniti/Nissan)
