Default This 302 really likes to rev

I have 1100 miles on the 16 GT Premium 6 speed manual now. Today I went by a Toyota Dealer and a saleperson friend there gave me a call about this Avalon Touring. Nice car, tuna boatish though, but a real nice 4 door sedan. I then asked Paul if he'd like to go for a scoot in the Mustang and he was in the passenger seat before I could believe it. On a on ramp to a freeway I took 1st gear to 7000 rpm, shifted and was back at 7000 rpm very quickly, grabbed 3rd and was quickly reaching 7000 rpm again...............but a wall of cars doing freeway speed was approaching QUICKLY. We took the next off ramp and Paul then said "Man, this thing rips".

This 302 @ 425 hp is quickly getting my attention. I just came out of a 2007 Z06 Corvette, and with 505 hp @ 3180 lbs. that was insanely fast in a brutish 427 cu. in. sort of way was exhilarating to drive. I've had lots of cars and hot rods, but this 302 rev's faster than anything I've had in the past.

The salesperson friend of mine, the moron you speak of without knowing him, was just showing me this Touring version of the Avalon. I looked again at my post and didn't see anything that alludes to him wanting to sell to this Mustang owner anything.

Sit down and take a few deep breaths.

You should check out a GT350 if you like something with a quick rev and a high red line

Though, considering the 1st gear of the GT350 puts you over 60mph at the red line, I guess you can't "legally" enjoy it too much
