Now that price is more like it. I guess they didn't receive the price-gouging memo!

Did the Legato system create any resonance?

Yeah, I was wondering about replacing the resonator with an x-pipe, but heard that it would create more resonance than just a street/touring axle back system.

There's an ever so soft drone between 1300-1500 rpm. I'm hardly ever in that range for any length of time, maybe on surface street in 6th @ 50 mph, if so I just upshift to 5th and it all good. There's even a sound difference when I select "Sport" driving mode and run through the gears that I'm not aware of when driving not in "Sport" mode.

There may be a drone whe removing the resonator and installing an X-pipe to the stock exhaust. I like mine with just the Legato system installed.

It has a subdued, but nice rumble that's a step above what I normally would consider a factory stock system.

Of course, that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to have a Ford/Borla axle-back Touring system! I'm just scared that anything from the aftermarket will cause droning, and I don't want even a little.
Eliminating the stock resonator with a x-pipe will cause either the droning you are worried about or a slight raspy sound. Stick with a axle back like the touring or sport and you will be pleased. The beauty of the Borla/Ford Racing system is that you can mix or match to suit your needs.

You can decide where Sync begins and ends but I see this as outside what most people would think when Sync3 is mentioned. The 2016s don't have an aux-in which causes problems for some owners.

HossierDaddy, me thinks you're in the wrong thread. This thread is about exhaust, not Sync or Sync3.

I think you're right but I was responding to a statement about sync that someone else posted in this thread. Don't two wrongs make a right?

I am dying to upgrade the exhaust on my 2016 GT, as it is extremely quiet. I would love to go the cheaper route but I can't live with any drone. I put Corsa on my previous 2 mustangs but $1,500 for a freaking catback, seriously...

What? 2015s have My Ford Touch (Sync 2), 2016s have Sync 3. I have no idea what you're referencing when you say "you can decide where sync begins and ends" as Sync 1, 2 and 3 is the naming of Fords infotainment platform.

Simple. Sync is part of the car, not the whole car. Was the dropping of the Aux-in a Sync requirement or a separate decision that would have happened even if Sync 3 wasn't in the car. As I said, you can decide.
