You mention the tune like you think it might have hurt you a little but I'm not sure that's necessarily true. Might be, but then again, might not!

As for what I was trying to say, if you were driving an Ecoboost, it's likely you'd be well into the low 30's, mpg wise. I'm still in the dreaming stage. I've got other financial obligations that I need to get out of the way before I can buy another car and I want the convertible which adds a bit to the cost but if I can swing the GT, I will opt for one but for me, it'll depend on a number of other factors. I'd be happy with the turbo and even the V6 if they'd offer it in premium trim but I do understand the allure of the 5.0.

The tuning has helped a lot. best iwas was getting before tuning and upgrades was right around 25+/- 1Mpg. Im sure the ecoboost can top that with out any problems.

Default gt vs turbo 4

I bought a 2016 Gt a few months ago. About a month after purchase some idiot crashed into me. Geico gave me the 16 mustang with the 4 cyl. turbo as a loaner. It's diffinately not as fast as the GT but a blast to drive. Put the car in sports mode and she will give you plenty of fun without the fear of losing control. Both cars are automatic and I didn't find that much lag in the turbo especially in sport mode. I suggest renting one for the weekend

That's good to know. Two questions if I may, first, who did your tune and what mods did you do (air intake, exhaust, etc.), and second, are you running regular or premium? I know the 5.0 will run on either in stock form with the understanding that you take a performance hit running regular. Do your mods require premium all the time?

Thanks for any info!

My tuning was done at Leading Edge Tuning, I have two tunes one for 93 and one for E85, as far as mods, Steeda CAI, #47 injectors, and SOLO Performance street race catback exhaust

I would go with the 5.0. Can't beat the sound of a V8. I am close to going back to a car and not sure if i want to go back to a C6 Corvette or a new 5.0 Stang.

Can you run E85 in a Mustang? My understanding is, it's not just a matter of tuning, it's also a matter of the entire fuel system being able to tolerate all that alcohol and I've not seen anything that says the Mustang is flex-fuel compatible. Just wondering.

Now that's a combination. The Mustang isn't even in the same league as the Corvette. Both are great cars. If you can afford the Vette, go for it but I'd have to go Mustang. The Vette is above my pay scale.

I would buy a used 2012 to 2014 C6 and save some money. I had a modded 06 C6 years ago. Just add some headers, Vararam and dynotune to a LS3 and it wakes up pretty good.

The 2012-2014 C6 with reasonable miles for the price I paid for my 2015 GT is a unicorn, it doesn't exist. I looked. You might get an early year of the C6 with 60K miles or more.

I can find a nice used C6 for around $40 to 45k. Or go with a just used 2015 -16 GT with under 7k miles for a much better deal. Already owned a C5 and C6 and had a 03 GT Stang for a while. I really like the look of the new GT and it is worlds better than my 03 GT was. There are only three cars on my want list, a Vette, GT or a SS Camaro. GT prices are much better from the get go
. I know what it takes to wake up the LS2 and LS3 engines, but know nothing about the new 5.0 or even what kind of mods are out there for it.

A mustang In my opinion should sound like a mustang. This means V8 rumble. Buy the GT
