5.0 vs. EcoBoost

Oh yeah, I've been hearing that too. The 5.0 is capable of returning incredible fuel economy, in spite of the EPA estimates. One thing I'm wondering in your case is if the tune is hurting or helping you? Have you tracked your fuel mileage close enough to have a handle on that, as in before and after the tune? You mention the tune like you think it might have hurt you a little but I'm not sure that's necessarily true. Might be, but then again, might not!
As for what I was trying to say, if you were driving an Ecoboost, it's likely you'd be well into the low 30's, mpg wise. I'm still in the dreaming stage. I've got other financial obligations that I need to get out of the way before I can buy another car and I want the convertible which adds a bit to the cost but if I can swing the GT, I will opt for one but for me, it'll depend on a number of other factors. I'd be happy with the turbo and even the V6 if they'd offer it in premium trim but I do understand the allure of the 5.0.

gt vs turbo 4
I bought a 2016 Gt a few months ago. About a month after purchase some idiot crashed into me. Geico gave me the 16 mustang with the 4 cyl. turbo as a loaner. It's diffinately not as fast as the GT but a blast to drive. Put the car in sports mode and she will give you plenty of fun without the fear of losing control. Both cars are automatic and I didn't find that much lag in the turbo especially in sport mode. I suggest renting one for the weekend

That's good to know. Two questions if I may, first, who did your tune and what mods did you do (air intake, exhaust, etc.), and second, are you running regular or premium? I know the 5.0 will run on either in stock form with the understanding that you take a performance hit running regular. Do your mods require premium all the time?
Thanks for any info!

Now that's a combination. The Mustang isn't even in the same league as the Corvette. Both are great cars. If you can afford the Vette, go for it but I'd have to go Mustang. The Vette is above my pay scale.

Can you run E85 in a Mustang? My understanding is, it's not just a matter of tuning, it's also a matter of the entire fuel system being able to tolerate all that alcohol and I've not seen anything that says the Mustang is flex-fuel compatible. Just wondering.

. I know what it takes to wake up the LS2 and LS3 engines, but know nothing about the new 5.0 or even what kind of mods are out there for it.
