Need some info on the 2016 GT Premium
Hello all,
I'm no stranger to mustangs having had an 07, an 11 and currently a 14 GT/CS, but I have not been keeping up with the new ones. I am going to look at a 2016 GT Performance Package tomorrow. MSRP is 41k but they are asking 36k for it. I imaging I could easily get it out the door for about 35k.
Seems like a good deal but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with both a 14GT and a 16GT and could compare the two. I'm also wondering what the 2017 brings that the 2016 doesn't.
I'm hesitant to trade my car in since it only has 4k miles on it but I'm really liking the look of the Guard Metallic with the Performance Package.
Any thoughts? (Part of me is hoping someone talks me out of it). I haven't had much time to do any research so I apologize if this has been beaten to death.
Thanks.

If I were you I would keep your 2014! Why? The big reason that I bought a new GT was for the 5.0L engine. I'm quite aware of the differences between your car & the 2016, but it's got the newer body style look, & the difference would not make a lot of difference to me. I have a 2016, & my friend has a 2014, & I don't think the differences are worth all the extra cost you'd be paying in your situation. If I had your car, I would not have bought my 2016! There will always be something new! "The trick to being happy isn't getting what you want, but wanting what you get!"

Funny you mention that. The other car I'm looking at is the Challenger 392 Scat Pack. I'm not worried about the ride. I really do like the challenger though. This is the first one that I really looked at and liked. Sounds great too.

The Challenger is way overpriced for what you get. The new Camaro is extremely ugly (and that is coming from a guy who owns a 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS). The 15 Mustang GT is a really good looking car. The looks alone make it worth the trade. And you can't beat the pricing they're letting them go at. These cars respond very well to simple mods. And the interior is very nice especially with all the options. I say get it. Or at least test drive it and see. I think you'll be very pleased if you decided to go that route.
