I agree.. I say the same thing to myself. But on the flip side it wouldnt have the looks of the other newer models and you can always Supercharge down the road. Its definitely a coin toss tho. I think another important factor thats overlooked is the circle track and cornering performance of the new design Camaro and im sure the new 2018 Mustang will be the same. The new Camaro is a real Sports car now for sure. But 700hp now is very enticing! Lol . Dang

So i might wait. Also i just saw the new 2017 Camaro yesterday at the local chevy dealer. Only evet saw it in pics before that. It was the 50th anniversary. Man was it nice. Way nicer then i thought it was. I can see why Ford is redesigning the Mustang now for 18. Only problem is i know if i wait or maybe decide to get the Camaro im probably not going to end up with it supercharged because the car would be more money and it wouldn't be in the budget anymore. This is a tough call. Do i go nicer car or more power. Head spin. .. Lol
I've always been a Chevy guy, but I checked the Camaro out before I bought my 2016. I could afford either one, but the Mustang was a lot nicer for my taste & with a supercharger it competes well with anything on the road. Who knows if you will like the 2018 body style. I sure don't like the direction of the Camaro as it looks like a "Transformer Car"! Each to his own!

I like them all Challengers , mustangs, Camaros. .. I think the thing that worries me with the mustang build as i said in another thread is the hypereutec pistons. Just dont know how long they would really last with the supercharger strapped on? As far as the camaro seeing it in person i loved it. Might even consider getting it in automatic since the 8 speed is faster. Although i love driving manual. My Scat Pack is a 6 speed manual. This decision is definitely coming down to the wire. Im going to decide this week as i have a dealer hunting down a lightning blue mustang already. .

My local Ford dealership is running a special until the end of the year, $7600 installed for the Stage 1 kit. There would be tax added to that number and they are a Roush authorized dealer. Mighty tempting! I already had them print out the quote good until 12/31/16.

It definitely is very tempting. But that being said i like my vehicles to be reliable. So im really trying to research on how well the 5.0 engine can really handle 150+ hp over stock and for how long? Thants my concern. .

Ias for Reliableity......100 percent. I installed the Phase 1 myself. 2 thousand miles since install. I drive it hard to easy. Stock half shafts and srive line . Magna flow cat back exhaust is the only mod and some Steeda suspension bits. I use the Hp for stop light drags. Took a 2016 camaro ss off the line the other night and the orange Beast made the SS owner very mad but i love my phas1 kit no leaks no noises and oil level still full and i dont run oil seperators the kit is awesome

My Roush Supercharger cost me about $8600 out the door. Likely I could have beaten the price, but my guy takes his time & has a great reputation. He did one for me in '08 & I had zero problems, so I didn't want to use someone else to save a few hundred dollars. I'd recommend having someone do the install that does quite a few! I'm a decent mechanic, but I'm a worrier... so I had it installed. If my authorized Roush installer makes a mistake you know Roush is going to back him all the way! With me... who knows! I'm not sure I'd back me!

I have this kit installed by the dealer.. I have a SCT Tuner and Matt from ID MOTORSPORTS tuned the vehicle we made 611 to the tires on the first run and the car is using a stock 85mm pulley... I payed 29k for the car with the R2300 phase 1 kit installed.. great performance for the money and it handles well too with the aftermarket suspension and IRS is amazing
