Default 2016 Mustang Right Turn Signal Problem!

Hey guys I just bought a 2016 mustang GT 2 weeks ago and I am having a problem with the right turn signal. I have attached 2 videos to this post of the right turn signal messed up, and the left one working how it is supposed to be. This problem has only happened to me 2 times now and when I tun the car off and back on it fixes it, and the right turn signal work fine. If you can not see the videos for some reason this is what happens: when I put on the right turn signal it isn't the normal on-off on-off beat, it goes on then off then on really quick and off really quick over and over sounding off beat, then when looking at the sequential right turn signal in the back while it is doing it, it only does 2 of the 3 lights rather than on in the 1-2-3 format it goes on 1-2 and the 3rd never comes on.

If any of you have had this problem before please let me know what it was or if you know what it is please let me know and how to possibly fix it or if I should just take it into a ford dealership. Also getting that fixed would it fall under factory warranty?

Thanks everyone!
- Parker

The fast clicking is just to notify you that the turn signal has a problem (often meaning a bulb is out.) It's a feature that's existed on cars for a while (since at least 1996 with OBD2). Your problem could be either an intermittently bad bulb (I'm not entirely sure how the sequential lights are rigged up, I haven't had mine apart yet, so they may be an LED strip(?)) or a loose wire. Either way, with a 2 week old car (assuming you bought it new) bringing it back to the dealer, they should fix it free of charge. It's obviously a defective component, not something that went bad over time.

Bad LED light, they'll most likely replace the whole taillight.

I have the same issue with my right turn signal only my entire rear right light set is out. No turn signal, no brake lights and no emergency flashers on the right side. Took it to the dealer and they couldn’t replicate the problem. Turning the car off and on again once has worked but now I’m having to do that 2-3 times. Very annoying and frustrating. I hate to risk getting a ticket by driving the car to the dealer when it happens again but that’s probably my only real option.

Well, if the dealer can't duplicate the problem, and you get a ticket, use the ticket as proof....or take a video and show the dealership.

Make sure your batteries are fully charged. Our 2015 GT had only 2 of the 3 bars in back on the right side and after doing some research found some with the same issue and it was the battery. Not a bad battery, just not fully charged from quite a few starts and very short trips. After Keeping the battery fully charged the problem has not reappeared.

BTW - dealer will not repair regardless of what evidence you have if it is not malfunctioning when they are working on it.
