For my 2 cents worth, I'm not usually a fan of getting a first year car of a new model. There tends to be more issues with that first new year that get worked out in the subsequent years. So with that in mind, I'd lean more towards a proven 2014 than a 2015. Or I'd wait until at least a 2016 to let them work out whatever issues, if any, arise in the 2015...

-----

Ok, yikes, I just searched out some of the 2015 concept pictures. Who knows how close any of them are to the real thing, but based on what I'm seeing there, I'd definitely go 2014. Some of the pics I am finding look like a Mustang crossed with a Jaguar, others like a Mustang crossed with a Camaro, none of them appealing, definitely not retro, as mentioned... If these are to be believed, it looks like they might be moving toward 'futuristic' looking instead of 'muscle' looking, and I don't like that...

I get the feeling you're 16ish so I'd say a 2020 model.

I get the feeling your some kind of retarded person, grow up dude. Just because you might get big bucks(2013GT) doesn't mean that you are psychic. I don't like changing cars every year, so i would rather have a gen that will last 2/3yrs than 1/2yrs. Make sense homie..
Going back to the topic. These are just rumors, i might stop by ford a dealer sometime and actually see them (maybe ask). I might go out with one the price is right been seeing 0.0 for 48months i think also 2014 around 21k. with a good dwnpymtn i might make it work..

Can get a 2013 GT for around 28k or so at this point. I picked my 2013 GT Premium up for 34k back in November I am sure they are a tad cheaper now too.

If you like the current model now, get it now. Cars are like computers and smartphones, there's always going to be something newer, faster, more efficient down the line. You'll always be on the sideline if you keep waiting for the best ever.

I feel differently about cars to how I feel about computers. Whilst I agree with your sentiment about "if you need a computer/smartphone get the current one now", cars don't quite experience the same levels of obsolescence that computers/phones have. So that Galaxy S2 from a couple of years ago is junk right now, but a 2011 Mustang isn't.

If you want to wait to see what the 2015 is like before you get one, just wait for it. You should save what you think your car payment will be each month before then too, then you'll be in an awesome position if it isn't quite what you expected and would rather a 2013/2014 instead.

I think Ford is smart enough to realize not to vere too far off from the current design and its variants, as the retro look is what worked so well for them and its GM and MOPAR counterparts. Im sure they will take some risks to really freshen up the look but I also believe they have learned their lesson from the Mustang II not to make the same mistake again. Im sure it will be a winner and as always, you are going to have folks who will hate it right off the bat but others will love it and buy into it right away. And the haters will come around, as I remember so many hated the new look of the 2010, especially the rear end. But that is mostly what you see around here now!

BTW, if anyone wants a clean car carrying the older look, mine is available!
