I mostly like it. by the time it launches we'll have had 10 years of "retro" styling, so it was time to carry it forward; the retro thing has played out. The thing I don't like so much is the side profile of the front end; it's clearly shaped the way it is to make the car meet Europe's pedestrian impact standards.

I couldn't agree more, and I don't like it one bit

I disagree. I loved the redesign of the 94's, the 05's and the 10 releases. Going back farther, I've never been a fan of the fox body except one model where it had the louvered taillights and spoiler.

I will reserve final judgement until I see one in person, but Im leaning towards not liking it which I really do want to. Maybe I'll get sold on the interior with the toggle switches. I do like toggle switches!

I saw the 2015 Mustang at the Portland Auto Show yesterday. It looks even better in person. The back & back side views are the best. The interior looks good from what I could see. They wouldn't let us sit in it though.

Honestly I was prepared for the worst, but I don't hate it. There are a few things that strike me as overwrought, at least on screen, but there is no single point on the car that ruins it for me. I would prefer to see the taillights closed in more when viewed from the side, for instance, but that's just nitpicking.

But like everyone else, I can't wait to see it in the sheetmetal. The overall proportions have changed pretty significantly, and that gets lost through an old laptop screen lol.

Got to see it in person at the Philly auto show yesterday. The only way I can describe it after seeing it is sofistacated. I liken it to a BMW m3 now. It doesn't scream look at me anymore. It was right next to a Green s197 and a black Shelby. And your eye was much more easily drawn to the older design. But it is a good looking car that will offer M3 like performance. Just not as boy racer as it once was. So I'm going to go with I still like it but I doubt it'll catch your eye the way older Mustangs did. Still a beautiful car.

Don't forget the aftermarket industry will come up with different body parts and I suspect they'll go towards a muscle look...

Both of you [Blue Beast/Pascal] validate points I have made.. Refinement is not always better or what some people want. I don't want to eat caviar in my mustang.. how many guys that drive bimmers like to do donuts in parking lots?... boy racer is a really insulting metaphor, and M3 like performance is an assumption/assertion by the you folks and the designers, we'll see how the reviews and testing goes. Feel free to rub my face in it it if it does circles around a nicely tuned S197, somehow I just don't believe that will be the case.

In any case, maybe I will check it out at the Denver show to see if my opinion evolves.

I am disappointed it was next to the other cars and no photos to really compare size? Cmon..

was it this one ?
